Are you terribly sure of that? It seems rather the opposite -- I know this is just one my personal experience, but my taxes are lower, my utility prices are lower (electric, phone, cable), my broadband availibility is the same (but higher speeds are available) and my rent is lower since I've moved from the city (Springfield, MA) to a little rural town in Vermont. Granted, the roads here are less maintained here than in the areas surrounding the city, but those in the city were worse than they are here too.

If you want cheap fast broadband, move out of the US.

Not at all. There's a lot of cheap phones on the market (Chinese ones especially, like the faux iPhones) that don't have a valid IMEI. Some don't even have one at all -- it's not used to set up calls or anywhere in the routing process. It's there merely to track the phone.

It disables one type of tracking, but not triangulation by cell phone towers, according to my understanding.

Living in Western Mass, I assure you that they never pave asphault "in a day". We have areas they've been working on for months... and down in CT, one highway that was undergoing repaving was that way for well over a year. Lane closures and so on.

I was in the market recently due to a planned relocation due to work. Northern VT had a good number of them well under 100k. There was a nice 3 bed/1 bath that I was looking into that they had selling for that same 60k.

I'm aware that I'm arguing a legal theory. I'm not a lawyer, however. It just seems like common sense that complete works that include creative content should be copyrightable. However, law and common sense don't run together as often as they should. Like you, I've no idea.
