Personally, I find the Perl version a little clearer, but to a c++ geek, the familiarity probably makes the construct obvious and the Perl version ugly; a Perl geek draws the opposite conclusion.

No, it all came down to price, not multitasking. There was never an argument that CLI was better than a GUI except from neckbeards and bean counters. Average slobs knew the GUI was better. It took from 1984 until the early 90's for the hard to get cheap enough to tolerably run a GUI OS.

So a customer 'bought' a busted phone. Not getting updates is one of the downsides. Buy unlocked or from a different carrier.

I think I'm one of the two who bought from Amazon. I don't care if you put it up for free. If it really bugs you that much, take the two bucks and give it to the next homeless person you see, or in the tip jar somewhere, or whatever. (Actually, I thought I said before that you could do that :)

Not all RC systems use spread spectrum. (The very popular DSM2 doesn't.) Those that use wifi don't either. Also, most video transmitters are single frequency. In any case, the 2.4Ghz band is fairly narrow. With only 3 wifi channels, you can cover most of it.

It's not clear to me that the wording above applies to wifi frequencies. But in any case, in order to "jam" wifi, you don't need an illegal "jammer", you could use a wifi station that broadcasts strong signals across multiple channels.

In my state, they have to post a surety bond or have a certain amount of liquid assets or something along those lines in order to offer their services.

I bet starving people would pay more for a meal than a fatted American like myself.
