Comment Why not other peripherals? (Score 1) 69

I always thought smartphones should be usable for every peripheral. Webcam is relatively easy. Same for an extended screen. How about a trackpad/gesture control? Keyboard? Gaming/streaming pad with customizable buttons/macros? Use the camera in place of an optical sensor and make it a mouse. Speakers. There's probably hacky apps to accomplish all of these things, but why not bake them into the OS?

True. But human cargo can mostly load and unload itself as well as get through customs. On the other hand, people also take up way more volume on a plane and require fancy systems like pressurization, heat, lighting, bathrooms, meal prep areas, and a paid babysitter to make sure they're not wandering up and down the aisles during takeoff.

Does it matter? Money is fungible. I pay my annual Prime fee and I get free two-day shipping for an entire year, as much as I care to purchase. If I buy a product from Amazon it is because it is competitively priced and convenient. It doesn't matter to me who gets the money after I hand it over. If they raise prices to cover shipping costs, maybe I'll buy somewhere else.

IDGAF if The Rich get to hide their questionable purchases so long as everyone has the ability to protect the privacy of what they spend their money on too. It's all part of this concept called "Freedom", which may have a potential for abuse, you must just accept that as part of the cost of freedom.

Shouldn't businesses be given the freedom of deciding how they want to run their business? If some stores decide they don't want to accept cash, you must just accept that as part of the cost of their freedom.
