If you look at ICU numbers, they're not even at half capacity of reserved covid beds (~2300 beds total AND adding another 350) and it seems like both quebec and ontario have 7day averages that are dropping.
It doesn't sound like a strong scientific argument for mandating vaccines. Especially since it isn't about a health emergency,or the feds would have tried, it's about trying to save an underfunded system that has seen continuous cuts from the feds. The real solution, which will help deal with any future pandemic, but which the feds refuse to entertain, is to increase funding to the provinces from the historic lows we're at. You see pretty much the whole canadian system is ALWAYS running at capacity with wait lists for most things.
