Maybe they don't feel they can run their data center securely for less than it costs to rent server space/security/etc. So they're running their software on someone else's computer (the 'cloud') and letting someone else manage it all. Will probably cost them more per year, but also show some nice first quarter savings/profit, and might be better for them in the long run. It looks like they have recognized a weakness and responded to it.

Having personally used a cell phone GPS while in an airplane, I can say that everything you said is wrong. GPS signals have absolutely no connection to cell phone towers or signals. The GPS signal comes directly from the orbiting satellites to your phone. If you have a window seat you should have no problem receiving a GPS signal at any altitude or speed. The only problem you may have is if you haven't downloaded maps for the area you're in, but that's not a GPS problem.

2 year community college credits must transfer / you get an 2 year degree and then can start an 4 year college at year 3 with no BS fees / added bridge classes that drive up costs.

Many community colleges have STEM programs designed to transfer students into a 4 year university program. They may have similar focused programs for other areas of study, but that was my focus. I went to a community college for the first two years, had small classes taught by a professor (not a TA), and transferred to a top 5 engineering school for the last two years. The quality of the education at the community college was at least as good as that at the university for the first two years, based my observations. So this point of yours is already enacted, even if not enough people think of it as a good option.

Among patients in this study, the associated risk of dying was actually relatively greater for survivors of severe covid under age 65 than it was for patients over 65.

I would suspect this is because of the lower percentage of patients over 65 who survived the initial infection and hospitalization. The weak ones in that demographic didn't survive to be included in this study.
