What a bunch or morons.
Piracy has been going on since dial up modem times.
Further, they're still relying on the argument that this sort of piracy cost the stakeholders anything. A lot of minor piraters wouldn't buy the piece in the first place. Yes it's theft of services, but not piracy.
Going after the small fry is pointless, and doesn't do a damn thing about real piracy.
Stupid old men. Get off my lawn!
While the idiot is out front yelling at the kids, the real criminal has snuck in the backdoor and stolen the goods.

Sadly her mother naively signed the contract. The cancellation fee details are probably buried in legalese.
Get a couple TV stations to do a human interest story in their news. Really bad press.
File a complaint with whoever regulates the service.
Then call a lawyer, and sue for breach of contract, for failure to provide the contracted service.
Escalate, and escalate.
Make collecting that fee too expensive.
Time consuming, but burning an asshole can be satisfying.

You'll only be able to get a phone out of state, or through the internet. No one selling phones will deal with this.
There is 3rd party software, already available. It's not free. And, a one time $20 will not cover it. Plus, Apple is causing problems for everyone who does content filtering.
I know. I work for a company that sells content filtering software, and I work on the iPhone product.
These bills were written by tech ignorant legislators. As they refuse to try to understand the issue, they are blind and stupid.

Mozilla has a history of innovation. Regularly better than the others.
A single engine is bad for the ecosystem. It's much harder to find an exploit that works everywhere.
Webkit is chromium. Apple is using the chromium engine.

I've used Mozilla since V 0.05. I file the original memory leak bugzilla report. I've forgotten the number, but it was under 100.
I was getting updates on it for over 10 years, until it was finally solved.
