"While EV drivers are excited by their new stuff, it's the personality "I'm better than you" inferiority factor that turns so many people off."
Again, there are no reports of EV drivers blocking gas stations, or interfering in any way with ICE drivers' enjoyment of their vehicles. I don't know why you think EV drivers are the problem here. ICE drivers are routinely blocking EV charging stations and vandalising EV chargers because they feel threatened in some bizarre way by the very existence of EV drivers.

"On the flip side, people who get new hardware to roll coal are also excited by their new stuff and their trucks, just as you are."
Coal rolling is a revelling in anti-social behaviour. It's not them saying "oh cool look at my gadget", it's them saying "you're a nerd for thinking that there's a climate crisis, so you and the planet can suck my fat one".

"A lot of them are very intelligent"
I see you must have one as family or friend, because their behaviour is utterly indefensible.

"Get the effect, but in a more eco friendly way. Guess what? You'll have fun with them I almost guarantee they'll be impressed and you'll quickly make a connection"
I don't think you understand what you're talking about. Coal rolling is specifically meant to be a refusal to accept that the planet needs to be cared for. It's a middle finger to the entire idea of environment awareness. Eco-friendly coal rolling (if such a fucking retarded thing could even exist) would defeat the very purpose of what they do.

And if you think that I could ever have anything in common with a coal roller, you're wrong. It's a destructive, childish, and irresponsible act. That's like saying if I was on a ship I could make friends with the guy drilling holes in the hull for kicks. No, there's nothing that could make me make friends with that guy. Fuck that guy. Fuck him and his drill. He should be thrown overboard.

"some eco rant"
Wanting to live on a planet capable of sustaining human life is not a "rant".

It would actually be easy. Just copy/paste honoring the formatting of the TARGET. Have you ever tried copy/pasting something into a Teams chat? Or an Outlook mail? 9 out of 10 times what you WANT is to get the content formatted in the way the text is formatted in the chat or mail.

What you GET though is that it pastes everything retaining the format of the source.

And yes. I know that I could right click, paste text only... but why is that not the STANDARD behaviour?

They decided that AI content needs to be labeled. That's pretty much the big whoop here.

At the same time, anyone who ever had to deal with it knows that it's virtually impossible to tell AI generated content from human generated content. Hell, even AI cannot do it. Which becomes more and more of a problem when training AI (which is, I'm sure, one of the motivations for the whole deal) because more and more training material for new AIs is hallucinations from former AI generations.

And you can't manually vet it. The amount of content AI can generate easily outpaces anything humans could audit and vet.

That law is toothless.

Nobody is going to take it away from you, just like nobody took away horses when society switched to cars. There are still horse riders everywhere. So calm down and stop pretending that EVs are some threat to your freedom.

Nobody is trying to stop you.

How does using Uber align with your privacy goals? And that Uber is likely going to be an EV pretty soon.

And I'm telling you from experience that the willfully ignorant are unfixable and the best available plan B is to demonstrate their ignorance to others. I mean, look at the climate denialists, anti vaxxers, and other groups like that. What facts can you give to a new-ager that will convince them that essential oils don't help your body expel toxins or whatever?

"EVs because drivers have, through their own actions"
Again with this. You're exactly what I'm talking about. I gave you links and facts to demonstrate that this is wrong, but you blew past it like nothing happened. EV drivers are excited about their new stuff, as there always is with any new tech. But the big truck coal rolling types feel that somehow this is a threat to their manliness and they are pushing back hard. To the point that EV charging stations are being vandalised and trucks are blocking charging spots. There are NO reports of similar behaviour coming from EV drivers. So you have it exactly backwards, and despite my demonstration of this you just continue in your narrative.

So let's use you as a case study. You made an assertion, I demonstrated it as false by including multiple links. And you just ignored that and came back at me with the original assertion without even addressing the evidence I presented or offering counter evidence. You are EXACTLY the kind of willfully ignorant moron I'm talking about here. You've demonstrated that no matter what is said to you, your position is what it is and fuck reality.
