dougnaka's Journal: what is wrong with slashdot in firefox lately??

Almost 1/3 of all pages load with wacked formatting. Usually the main body of the page is aligned to the very left mixed with the menu's, the other thing that happens often is the page loads with no main body content. I'm on Firefox 1.0PR, and it's done it since I upgraded a few weeks ago... anyone else having this? It does it on my home and work computer, both FF 1.0PR with similar plugins/javascript settings.... I'm stumped

Slashdot Firefox Fix

It's a common bug in Firefox, it's fixed in the trunk but won't be fixed before 1.0 unfortunatly. The easiest way I know of currently to fix it is to create a bookmark on your toolbar with the following as the address, all on one line:

javascript:(function(){var s=document.body.style;var x=s.display;s.display='none';s.display=x;})()

Clicking on this bookmark will correct any screwed up Slashdot page in Firefox. Now if I could just find a firefox extention to remove the subdomains from slashdot.org automa
