Journal packrat2's Journal: buffalos, zombies and evolution

Musings on the age of the buffalo.

  The zombie stampede.

OK, so Genghis Khan used to drive the local peasants into the next village; he made most of his invasion force out of the last place he'd been.

Naturally. So this is the now the age of the buffalo instead. Peasants aren't allowed education, travel or weapons.

Today they are... and it doesn't do them any good. It's self-indulgence rules instead of work. Politics.

Not that many of grunts actually ever de-zombie...(or
ed-zombie) by getting above the sheeple-mind. It's bread, cirques and politics instead. Money, power, fame.

Police work is sex, revenge and money.

Hard to get above it all when the day2day of eating, getting anywhere and throwing your opposition/competition under the bus makes the body politic what it is.

Bread and circuses, death by cheap thrills. Buffalo fodder.

Manufactured consent...(abet the hard way.. Media control and fixed elections.)

Manufactured crises... (all the better to make money with)

  And manufactured politicos.

I see the results of Spiro Agnew's putting psychologists on the broadcasters. I watched them survey the tools out back in the day, and know both the pitfalls and bonuses of using a modified family-values model.

The spanish one, with one thug per group to keep the smuggled goods flowing.

And the psychos they produce will buffalo their own doom.

So. Anchoring yourself against the lynch-mob?

The lynch-mob will decide to dive off a cliff trying to anchor themselves, eventually.

Bread and circus; entertainment and food. GM'ed politics.

Hammer and sword, fire and iron.

The new work ethic is going to need to be above mob-rules and casual genocide, and much more than anchoring yourself.

As the American Indian soothsayers said... You have choice between spirit and profitable technology.

Will the next war be psychos and mind-control, anti-gravity and zero-point energy...

Or anchors to a Marxian medieval village?
