Although in the WS it makes for interesting times....having to watch the NL teams field a DH and the AL teams have to play without it.

Make pitchers hit. Primary benefit is it speeds up the game. In addition, if a pitcher has to face another pitcher, your less likely to see batchers getting beaned. :)
