Pejorian's Journal: A Career in Arts and Technology?

I think I'll start my Slashdot Journal with the news that, after being a systems manager for a big company for over a decade, I want to do something new and different. I want to wade into the field of arts and see what I can find. I want something that lets me mix arts and technology in an alchemic mix to produce a career that is both fun and creative while keeping me above the poverty line.

Perhaps in the movie industry? Post-production work? Or maybe writing articles or scripts for magazines or movies? Or the long-time Golden Ring: writing a novel!

Any suggestions?
