I think shills are the most effective trolls because they subvert the community. They get paid and they have the time to truly integrate within it.
There was a guy who had a sickening signature that admitted to being a shill.

Who wouldn't? It's great stuff, just shows how effective the sweet smile can be.. but me personally, I prefer the 'angry troll' [slashdot.org].. I feel like they're actually talking to me, as opposed to simply broadcasting

Oh no no no, I'd moderate these kinds of fools up. Best that they are widely seen.. Like with pudge. gotta shine the light on them and get more people to join in on the fun. Until we can get a 'spam' mod, I can't mod anybody down. On the other hand, there is the 'overrated' mod for them, I suppose, but that one is so widely abused by the zombies and psychos, but then, what would stop them from doing the same with a 'spam' mod?... It really just leaves only one option

Well, I'm not a fan of trolling so I'll mod them down unless they're actually funny, in which case that's how I'll mod them.
Odd, I had six points left this morning and got to work and had none. Went home for lunch and had fifteen, used all but three, got back to work and have none again. IE6 on Windows, maybe? I'm running Firefox on kubuntu at home.
