Journal NaveWeiss's Journal: Precisely now: A Terror Vacation in Israel

Translated from Walla.

Entrepreneurs from Gush Etzion (a settlement in Gaza) are marketing touring packages in the settlements. The itinerary includes a weapon lesson and a flight above Gaza. The peak of the excitement is a night patrol across the settlements fences with a chance of "encounter". 5,500$ for 5 days of fear.

Two entrepreneurs from Gush Etzion has created an hallucinatory start-up: Terror tourism. The two, Jay Grinbald and Joshua Mizrachi (sp?), with the aid of the settlement's tourist fund, are marketting tourist packages for danger-loving Americans

The itinerary includes: reveille at 06:00, physical fitness and krav maga training; a lesson in weapons disassembly and assembly; a shooting range; outposts visit; helicopter flights above Hebron and Gaza and patrols and guarding in settlements. The peak of the excitement will be a night patrol across the fences of one of the settlements while knowing that there's a chance that a battle will burst in the place. So reports Yedioth Acharonot. (It's a sucky paper, you know? I don't like it much.. )

After that, the tourists will be briefed by reserve officers who served in selected units. The officers will explain them about the ways of coping with the Palestinian terror. The visiors will get to see explosive belts and a display of the weapons which were caught in the ship Karin A, and the officer will tell them about the operation which was held by the fleet troopers.

The person in charge of the IDF cooridnation, Yechezkel Klinn, promised that the tourists will get "a fine service in exchange for the money. The moment they know they have passed the Green Line and in an hostile territory, they will be sweating from fear. We will bring them closest as possible to the broiled areas. Ofcourse we will supply them the highest protection so that no one would get hurt".

22 Americans already registered to the first voyage and agreed to pay 5,500$ for 5 days of fear. A temporary delay occured since no American insurance company agreed to insure the tourists, so it appears that an Israeli company will insure them.

Ezra Munches (sp?), age 23, that in normal days works as a clerk in a Florida court, registered to the upcoming tour: "When I see in the news what happens in Israel I get upset. I can't remain calm. I would want that there would be a solution to that, but till then, I want to to take a part in the 'action' and help the soldiers who stay there. My friends are calling me crazy, but I just like the action."
