I'm glad I read you JE first so I knew what you said :-) I think you have caused me to goole more things than anyone else around here, and it always makes me feel smarter.

And speaking of Ireland... One of my friends in town just had her book published, Fiona Stolen Child [fionastolenchild.com] . It's not my normal read, neither a SciFi nor Fantasy convention anywhere in sight!, I really enjoyed it. She writes with tremendous detail, and one of those details is leaving cookies and Guinness for Santa instead of milk. So, in

Well Merry Christmas to you! With one exception, in my entire career I have never encountered an HR type who was younger than 50: but what an exception she was :-)

I know back in the day HR types were necessary, but now all I ever hear when I have a question is, "Check the website." Hopefully your HR experiences are more positive. Well, it sounds like they are with at least some of the department :-)
