Journal fustakrakich's Journal: Biblical message to republicans and at least one democrat: 11

Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. -- 2 Timothy 2.23-24

Biblical message about the republicans, and how to respond:

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone. -- 2 Timothy 3.1-9

Biblical message on the effect of republicans over the last few years:

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. -- 2 Timothy 4.3-4

The bible does indeed contain much truth...

  • But do remember part of exegesis is the 5Ws of the text. Especially "to whom". Because if you expect that somebody who rejects the authority of the word is going to heed anything you care to cite, well, that's just a teeny bit daft.
    • What's good for the goose.. bla bla bla.. Gotta learn how to use the tools that work. If they can generate so much hate, maybe they can be used to combat it. I figured I could get farther by using the actual words as opposed to using hateful misinterpretations by little dictators who wanna be big dictators. Why do you follow those people? Don't bother, it was rhetorical...

Always draw your curves, then plot your reading.
