Those of us who have been saying this for the last year get to say "I told you so" - for all the good it will do.
Iran isn't stupid - they know that the best way to guarantee no "boots on the ground" is to show that they're serious about switching to a basket of currencies instead of the US dollar. Since they're the #2 OPEC exporter, if they say "pay me in pine cones", lots of trades will be done
