  • Or will they each get their own JEs?
    • Well, if you aren't privy to the kinds of UML coding errors one encounters on /., then you may not be hip to them "URL" thingies, like the "hyperlink" pointing to the balance of the predictions.
Have a trolly New Year, and get out the next installment of Karl's Folly, you slacker!
      • You promised us seven predictions, then gave one garbled one and a link. Are the other six less important?

Here's my prediction for your "seven":
        • You will move the goalposts on or before December 31 2015 to aid in your declaration of "victory"
        • You will move the goalposts

Do you mean something like claiming BHO is a conservative, or a less drastic movement?

          • You will move the goalposts

Do you mean something like claiming BHO is a conservative, or a less drastic movement?

I have demonstrated President Lawnchair to have taken actions more conservative than those of any president before him. There is absolutely nothing drastic about calling the most conservative president in the history of our nation a conservative president, nor is it in any way a case of moving the goalposts. What you do on a regular basis to avoid having to face facts or reality is are capital cases of moving goalposts.

            • There is nothing conservative about the Obama Administration; not his irresponsible immigration actions, not his inept foreign policy, not ObamaCare: Not. One. Miserable. Thing.
But I support and defend your right to keep pluckin' that chicken.
              • There is nothing conservative about the Obama Administration

Except for every single bill he has signed into law.

                not his irresponsible immigration actions

He took action to slow down government. You should applaud both the slowing down of government as well as the fact that the action improves the size of the pool of cheap labor to keep prices of consumer goods down.

                not his inept foreign policy

He has had the most competent foreign policy of the past 40 years, at least. Indeed its unusual degree of aptitude might make it the least conservative part of his actions, up until one notices that his foreign policy has been as profit-driv

                • These words. You through them about as though they carried real-world meaning.
                  Meanwhile, where's the Marx fix?
                  • I see. I remind you again that reality is counter to your claims, and then you go back to asking me about the book that you love to pretend to be an expert on without having read. Weren't you trying to make a statement with this JE? What happened to that?
                    • I remind you again that reality is counter to your claims

You remind me of a drunk.

you go back to asking me about the book that you love to pretend to be an expert on without having read

You remind me of a drunk who can't remember having agreed to do something. How reliable of you.

Weren't you trying to make a statement with this JE? What happened to that?

Why, nothing: the URL still works [theothermccain.com], as they are wont. Is 2015 the Elbonian Year of the Obtuse, or are you attempting to be cute?

                    • So you're just trying to drive traffic to your "other" blog then, and you don't actually want to discuss the topic of this JE in this JE. Gotcha. Peace out; let me know if you want to have a discussion some time.
                    • Pssst: if I was interested in "driving traffic", I sure as balls wouldn't be wasting my time in THIS internet ghetto.
So, you've got nothing on the Communist Manifesto? Says more than words regarding your opinion of Karl's Folly.
                    • So my lack of action means something profound but your lack of action means nothing at all? I thought you were trying to claim earlier that you don't move goalposts at will.
                    • Lack of action? I created the JE in the first place, and provided the last CM installment. While I admire your panache, attempting to hold you accountable for your end of the CM bargain is not "moving the goalposts". Nice to see you "keeping it lame" in 2015.
                    • I was referring to your lack of action in this JE. Your text starts off promising 7 predictions but delivers only one (although it is such a wandering thought that it is hard to tell if it is one or several - though it is clearly not seven).

Also the rate at which you write JEs is such that finding your last entry on the Manifesto is not trivial. It is not your fault that slashdot has never had a functioning search engine, of course, but it does raise the barrier to entry.
                    • Oh, yeah: all of the journals are such a bother to locate => http://slashdot.org/~smitty_one_each/journal [slashdot.org]
The journal in question is right there on the first page of results => http://slashdot.org/journal/1590371/tcm-communist-manifesto-reading-club-part-5 [slashdot.org]
Truly, you're about a lame piece of work sometimes.
                    • Thank you, the link is helpful. And I observe that again you are talking about me, rather than talking about what you started this JE for.
