  • Apparently, now that I won't engage with the trolls, the Slashdot system administrators have taken to dismissing user's preferences for their journal entries.

    The default preference for my JE's is "no foes and no friend's foes". This journal [slashdot.org], though, has somehow been magically converted to plain old "comments enabled", and the user posting in it thinks they're quite clever [slashdot.org] about it.
