James Inhofe makes Slashdot's front page http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/01/18/0421242 in what is basically an ad hominum attach on a Weather Channel meteorologist, the tactics of ExxonMobil in using smoke, mirrors and hot air http://www.ucsusa.org/assets/documents/global_warming/exxon_report.pdf to slow our response to global warming is revealed by the Union of Concerned Scientists. From the Executive Summary:

In an effort to deceive the public about the reality of global warming, ExxonMobil has underwritten the most sophisticated and most successful disinformation campaign since the tobacco industry misled the public about the scientific evidence linking smoking to lung cancer and heart disease.

It goes on to say that information laundering was used to attempt to confuse the public.

If you don't know that fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) is being fed to you, how can you be sure your opinion is your own?

I know for the green party we don't take any PAC money of corporate contributions so we're funded by individuals in so far as we are funded at all. Our budget is pretty dismal. On the other hand we have some of the strongest statement on global warming: http://www.gp.org/committees/ecoaction/eco_2006_04 _25.shtml [gp.org]. I think the FEC keeps track of our donors in a fairly public way.

Check to be sure that we've listed your utility, or at least have service in your state using the map icon at the bottom. We have missed a few utilities that do net metering so don't panic if you don't see yours, we just need to contact them to check once we know about them. The white states on the map don't have net metering laws, or in the case of West Virginia, only
