Velvet Underground. Another classic band. Definitely in a totally different league from the KLF but still another of my favorites from time to time. :)

The KLF are classic in my opinion. But I got the same kind of ragging on except from the one other friend who turned me onto them. He also had "better taste" and experienced the same thing. I got so into them that I bought their album Chill Out as well which has a lot more in common with The Orb. Interesting thing about Chill Out is that you can hear many of the same sound elements used in the White Room only in an ambient setting. For a real kick, look them up on YouTube.
