    yeah, that really adds a lot of value.

    how stupid can we be? play drinking games, to the state of the union. has culture really devolved that far?

    well, who cares... drinking is cool... drinking ourselves into oblivion is even cooler, doing it to a political speech is probably the ultimate and all we are capable of.

      One can argue that the SOTU has degenerated to such a point (a scripted and predictable TV show) that drinking games are actually more important. Of course, it DOES provide fodder for The Daily Show.

        wow. watch tv to be spoon-fed opinions, and then drink. hmph. to me sounds like weakness. can't take it? drink and watch tv. numb oneself into oblivion because reality is just so hurtful or worse... boring.

        • Thank you for the reminder that Puritans of every political stripe are no fun at parties. I watched the Windbag-In-Chief's content-free address last night sober by the way, but the only reason for that was that I had a staff meeting this morning and had to be in on time. If I could have taken the morning off, I might have tried to lower my mental functionality to the level of the President's.

          I personally wish I had seen this last night- the drinking game would have been better than listening to Bush underrate China and India as mere economic competitors....
