What do you do when you walk into work and see that the campus is on emergency power? Well you sit around, walk around, and play games on the whiteboard (placed conveniently under one of the emergency lights) and listen to the facilities guys talk about how fucked up things might be. So they were talking to BGE, down at the substation and then at 9:30 they sent us all home on administrative leave. Schwing!

Welcome to a free day! Of course it is black skies, waterfalls of wetness, gray and miserable (you know, January weather). But it's sweet. That lightness only freedom can bring. You've stolen something and no one's the wiser.

Kidding dude. Enjoy your day off. Go watch a movie, and review it for us. Make a crazy parallel no one else would see, that becomes blindingly obvious once you link it together for us. :D

Service worse than SBC (Score:2)

Southern California Edison, as it turns out, has worse service than SBC. A few weeks ago, one of their transformers burned up, and burned through our fiber optic cable that fed 1/3 of our entire operation.
SCE refused to let Comcast work on it for 3.5 days.
