Philadelphia (PA) - A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Philadelphia, PA courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Philadelphia Eagles, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

  • You owe me one monitor!
  • Should've picked the Packers or the Texans. The Eagles will beat him at least half the time.
  • Big Ben is overrated.
    • I thought this too... until two former probowler QBs (and two QBs who have taken teams to the post season) made the steelers look like crap when they took the reigns...
      • Big Ben is undoubtedly the best QB the Steelers have atm, but that doesn't mean he's not overrated.
        • yeah, to be overrated, he'd have to lead an inept offense while injured (rather than taking time off to heal) and throw interceptions with less than 2 minutes to go on what would have been the game winning drive consequently causing his team to fall into last place for the division. THEN he could truly be overrated.

          • Oh and go out on the field while puking his guts out? At least that bum McNabb doesn't blame the wind, the fans, his entire team, etc. unlike you know who(although he could blame TO). And if he's out, who the Eagles have that can really replace him?

It's been really fun whenever I've been up in Pittsburgh the past few times, coming from philly. Since I, like most Pitt/Philly fans, default to supporting PA teams, this generally doesn't cause many problems, until they play against each other. I can't imagi
