Journal superyooser's Journal: Gaza on the books 17

(Ariel Sharon is the prime minister within the Likud Party.)

Likud's Guidelines of the Government of Israel

VI. Settlement
Settlement in the Negev, the Galilee, the Golan Heights, the Jordan Valley, and in Judea, Samaria and Gaza is of national importance to Israel's defense and an expression of Zionist fulfillment. The Government will alter the settlement policy, act to consolidate and develop the settlement enterprise in these areas, and allocate the resources necessary for this.

Likud Party Platform

Chapter 1: Peace & Security
Preamble
The right of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel is an eternal right, not subject to dispute, and includes the right to security and peace. Zionism is the liberation movement of the Jewish people, and its fulfilment is at the top of the list of priorities of the Government of Israel. Immigration will be increased, and settlement will be strengthened. The decision to freeze settlements will be rescinded.
Operatives
5. Jewish settlement, security areas, water resources, state land and road intersections in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip shall remain under full Israeli control.
Chapter 8: Agriculture & Settlement
1. Settlement in all parts of the Land of Israel is of national importance and part of Israel's defense strategy. The government will allocate special resources for settlement in border and sparcely-populated areas.

Palestinian Charter

Article 24: This Organization does not exercise any territorial sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the Gaza Strip or in the Himmah Area. Its activities will be on the national popular level in the liberational, organizational, political and financial fields.

Joshua 13:2-4

"This is the land that still remains: all the regions of the Philistines* and all the Geshuri, from the Shichor which fronts Egypt, to the border of Ekron (northward from there the land is considered as belonging to the Kena'ani)-that is, the territory of the rulers of the Philistines* in Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gat and Ekron; also the Avim to the south; all the land of the Kena'ani..."

Joshua 15:20,45-47

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the descendants of Judah, by clans. [...] Ekron, with its towns and villages - from Ekron to the sea; all those near Ashdod, with their villages; Ashdod, with its towns and villages; Gaza, with its towns and villages, to the Vadi of Egypt, with the Great Sea as its border.

Qur'an 5:20-23

Remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Call in remembrance the favour of Allah unto you, when He produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin." They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter." (But) among (their) Allah-fearing men were two on whom Allah had bestowed His grace: They said: "Assault them at the (proper) Gate: when once ye are in, victory will be yours; But on Allah put your trust if ye have faith."

2 Chronicles 20:6-7

O LORD, the God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You. Did You not, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and give it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?

Amos 9:14-15

I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel; they will rebuild and inhabit the ruined cities; they will plant vineyards and drink their wine, cultivate gardens and eat their fruit. (Note: Gush Katif means Harvest Block.) I will plant them on their own soil, no more to be uprooted from their land, which I gave them," says ADONAI your God.

Alas, Israel's restoration is delayed yet again. The dry bones are walking (Ezekiel 37:11-14), but too many of the hearts are not circumcised (Deut. 30:6-8, Jeremiah 4:4).

You really should click on that link above. ^^ Or here.

* The Philistines, or P'lishtim, have no relation to today's Arafat-named "Palestinians." Besides, the Creator of the World has designated Gaza, regardless of who was or is living there, to be for the people of Israel as long "as the heavens are above the earth" (Deut. 11:21).

  • Even though both the jews and the muslims hold the Old Testament as law, and thus it would seem valid to settle the issue of land ownership in accordance with their laws, neither the muslims nor those who either support the muslims or hate the jews seem willing to concede this point.

I have myself made that same case about God CLEARLY giving the land to the jews, for ever and ever, but that point of view is ALWAYS rejected by pretty much everyone I've discussed the matter with. Even though, as I said, the O

Muslims accept the OT and even the NT in some sense, but they reinterpret it. They believe that Yahweh is Allah and that Moses and Jesus were Muslims.

The most important difference has to do with the inheritance of the covenant given to Abraham. Muslims hold that the Torah has been corrupted by the Jews. Their version of history is that t

    • In 74 A.D., the Zionists pretty much gave up their claim to moral superiority the same way the Islamic Jihadists are doing now- by using violence against those they see as oppressors. The loss of the State of Israel was their punishment. Now, 1900 years later (give or take a few decades) it seems they have forgotten the lesson of that punishment.
      • Violence does not abrogate the promise of the land. Read Numbers 33:50-56, then the whole book of Joshua.

Faithlessness is what prevents the promise from being fulfilled. Once the people of Israel have faith, God may give the land to them on a silver platter, reducing or removing the need for violence. However, in the past, God usually demanded much violence. He expected Israel to do whatever was necessary to eliminate the former inhabitants of the Promised Land and threatened them with punishment if they

        • Violence does not abrogate the promise of the land.

But turning away from God does- I submit that in failing to convert to Christianity and instead fighting against the Romans, the Zionists did indeed turn away from God- basically abandoning the land to violence.

And Zionists, by their actions, have no faith.

Read Paul's epistle to the Romans, chapter 11.

But that doesn't mean that the Zionists need still be a part of Israel at that point. In fact, for Israel to be grafted back in, I'd say that the Zionists have to be pruned. They're not compatible wi

You should flip over to the front part of your Bible some time. If you mean in contemporary times, just listen to some of the latest broadcasts [israelnationalradio.com]. They have tremendous faith. They have faith in God's promise to have mercy on the descendants of Abraham (which Mary, mother of Jesus, affirmed in Luke 1:54-55) and to send the Messiah.

It appears that Stephen was a Zionist (Acts 7:2-5). And Jesus was named after the greatest Zion

As long as the descendants of Abraham by the slave woman can be killed, right? Or did you forget that the Arabs trace their lineage back to Fr. Abraham as well?

"Down with the olive branch, long live the gun!" - chanted slogan at Palestinian rally in Bethlehem on Israel's 55th anniversary, May 15, 2003

As for evil persons in general, I could be satisfied to say, "Live and let live." But with Palestinians and Islamists, you can't be that way. They're coming to kill you (especially if you're in Israel), so you'd better kill them first. Look at some facts:

The Israelis ARE Palestinians- including the Zionists. They wouldn't be chanting this if the Zionists hadn't excluded them first.

                  • Once again, so what? Do you really think that if say, Palestinians were allowed the vote, that would last?

They did vote. Hamas had majority support, but Fatah won anyway because of intimidation from the ruling Fatah regime (PA).

Their rights and needs can't be fulfilled as long a Zionists keep treating them like dogs.

Arabs and Muslims have far more rights in Israel than they do in any Arab-ruled country or territory.

Let them vote, and have an equal vote with any Jew. I don't see Israel attempting THA

Not for a SEPARATE government- for the government of a single country, Israel.

Arabs and Muslims have far more rights in Israel than they do in any Arab-ruled country or territory.

Really? Then why isn't 75% of the Knesset in Israel Moslem?

Arab/Muslim Israelis do vote in Israeli elections. They have parties (which are loyal to the PA). They have members in the Knesset!

  • Good stuff in there.

I don't understand why Israel (and our government, by supporting this) believe that leaving Gaza will lead to peace. The Palestinians will not give up until Israel is gone. Giving them Gaza will just send the message that given enough time, suicide bombings will make Israel give in. As soon as the Palestinians control Gaza, they will start attacking another portion of Israel. There is no peace with these people.

  • What is in the Bible is INSPIRED by God, not WRITTEN by God. It's entirely possible that everything you quoted was written by Zionists- and should be viewed as being an interpretation of what they thought God meant viewed through their own racist biases.

You want a scripture written by God? Look in every cell of your body- there's a book there, written in genetic code, a scripture written personally for YOU by YOUR CREATOR.

What this country needs is a good five dollar plasma weapon.
