Comment 40% for floor mounted manual? (Score 2) 1145
I find it hard to believe 41% of the posters can even use a manual transmission. I grew up on a farm, and most people I've met from urban areas don't know how to drive a "stick".
As for me, I didn't encounter an automatic transmission until I turned 16. At that point I had been already driving tractors with manual transmissions for about 4 years. (And no, I'm not talking about puny lawn tractors) I also remember driving my dad's Ford F-250 (floor-mounted manual) at 14.
A driver's license isn't the most important thing when you're on the back roads of Iowa and there is work to be done...
