I think there are way too many engineers or manager that dont make the cut. I know a lot of graduates in CS who have made to the positions/internships at Intel just because there spouse/brother works there. With there struggling education averages and no specific skills or merits, I was suprised they still made it. Seems like internal contacts are more important at Intel than educational merits, experience or skills.
I will not be suprised to see more inefficient people being layed-off as cost-cutting measure.
