Journal zogger's Journal: Headsup on fuel RUMOR ALERT 4
OK, this is potentially a scoop, I don't know. I can't prove this but I have two independent sources that there were attacks or explosions or some "incidents" at refineries in texas right before the hurricane started hitting, like just a short time ago. This is NOT being put on on the main news outlets, but it IS in the feeds they get, what I am being told anyway. They want to stifle panic buying of fuel and perhaps keep the markets calmer, already enough jitters with the refineries being in danger from the hurricane. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PROOF OF THIS, no URLs to point at, just heard it now from two places, completely independent of each other, one source is near direct to an active newsroom where they have been ordered to sit on the news from "on high". I also have read -this is open, can be googled- that after hours trading has *wholesale* gasoline already busting over five buck$. I'm not going out now at night but tomorrow I fill my cans, they were needing it anyway. FWIW, YMMV, take it with some salt, not trying to start anything but it is significant news if true.

Basically I was hoping that there being so many folks from diverse areas here perhaps someone else could chime in with some real info on these "incidents"..but, anyone from that Texas coastal area is sorta busy right now, so..... think about it though, say you were acme giant refiner and oil company and had s
