New Tool Reveals Internet Passwords 140

wiredmikey writes "A new password cracking tool released today instantly reveals cached passwords to websites in Microsoft Internet Explorer, and mailbox and identity passwords in all versions of Microsoft Outlook Express, Outlook, Windows Mail, and Windows Live Mail."

According to the manual, it first appeared in NetBSD 1.5. The last edit to the manual was made in 2003.

It's in the bsdgames package, and has been around for way more than the time required to qualify for prior art.

Most of the browsers released in 2008 will go to the site automatically if you type the name of the site (i.e. facebook or digg) automatically.

Didn't he accuse the GPL of being some sort of cancer or a virus? Didn't he (just recently) decry Android for not making money? Does he even realize what he's saying?

The irony level in this situation is simply astounding. Secondary attack can cause execution of said downloaded binaries? What about all that malicious content that Internet Exploiter happily executes for the user with nary a warning or confirmation?
