Right now we are defaulting many configure operations to generate debugging code for us so our binaries are not optimal. support one of the official forks. official fork sounds paradoxical. What should we call a fork whose only reason for being is to keep something free? Let's call it a frork. Or in the case of Maria and L'Office, a frorakle.

You seem to have a comprehension problem. blair1q stated: it's not the military's fault, it's the politicians. I stated: the president makes decisions based on the word of the military. From out of left field you emit some random bullshit about how presidents don't do the things they say they will, and then proceed to imply my statement was pointless. "a kind of bat-hook for real-life superheroes" So the people who work for the US military are superheroes? They materially represent the coercive tenticles of the US having outposts in 150+ other countries inposing a grand will under the threat of violence. These superheroes are a clear and present danger to the national security of the united state of america, and are bankrupting our country. Bring the troops home, lets get them integrated back into the private sector.

Microsoft Patents Foot Computing 107

theodp writes "Microsoft Research has made it possible for a mother to surf the web while nursing her newborn, thanks to its newly-patented 'foot-based user interface' (FUI?). 'In addition to causing health problems,' explains Microsoft in the patent, 'the traditional keyboard and mouse interface can be simply inconvenient in certain situations as well. In one instance, a mother with a baby in her arms is unable to easily perform simple tasks, such as checking email, on a computer.' Users of the 'Foot-Based Interface for Interacting With a Computer,' however, will be able to move their feet and step on the floor a la DDR to execute various commands, such as deleting email or scrolling down the screen. Due to the usual foot-dragging on the part of the USPTO, the patent — filed for in 2006 — was essentially obsolete by the time it was issued on Tuesday, a week after Microsoft's Kinect launch."
