People who work from home can go pretend to work somewhere else. Pretty tired of listening to the wails of the laptop elite honestly. Companies aren't interested in employees seeking a work life balance you're there to make them money as fast as possible. If remote work made that a reality no one would care, but that isn't what they have discovered, there is more to coding then sitting somewhere typing. By all means if you can find someone who doesn't care more power to you.

It's 2023 and someone is still talking the militia nonsense, incredible. By the way you never finished the text, if you had you would have read the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms, regardless the latest SC opinions further enforce that we do have a right to bear arms. I support government rights to issue permits for 1st amendment rights, if you are engaging in "press" work you should have the credentials to ensure you know what you are doing, much the same as going to classes for firearm safety.

You're statement that the death penalty "will have no effect on whether a murder will happen or not" is flawed when your only example is the person who committed murder despite the death penalty. How about those who didn't kill because there is a death penalty attached to that action? Is it unreasonable to believe that someone would cease actions towards murder after contemplation of the consequences? Have innocent people been put to death? Probably, the statistics alone assume there are going to be those, but also it is easily believed that the threat of a death penalty has saved lives as well, a grim balance perhaps.

The US is barely at replacement rate, nearly all of Europe has been reducing dramatically and many places are at what's called lowest-low, from which no culture has ever survived. Basically you can kiss the French and Italians good bye. There may be french and italians later on but in name only, their DNA won't know what a baguette or ravioli is and they'll speak arabic as a second (it'll be second at least at first) language. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/61/WorldPopulation.png Perhaps your still thinking of the hysteria of the late 70's and forgot to update your knowledge rolodex =)

I don't know why your interpretation is scored insightful, all anyone can do is tell someone else your best guess on how long anything could take. Based on that information from you and others the manager can then tell his boss how long it will take. Managers manage people not things, the assertion a manager needs to know everything his subordinates know is ridiculous, and actually can hurt in the long run. Because if he's better at it then you he will always wonder why the hell your so slow at it.
