These kinds of broad, hand-waving, this-is-what-I-think gestures of what W2K3 is leaves a lot to be desired. Someone that doesn't look at VSS, VDS, and other new storage initiatives isn't really paying enough attention at the reasons why users would go from W2K to W2K3.
Go look at VSS/VDS and tell me it isn't a significant advance beyond W2K.
(And don't bother giving me the "Well, you can do it this way under Linux" comments -- that isn't the point. The point is why this eWeek article is a no-op).
