There is no *one* controller. Games like Q3 and UT are best played using a combination of input devices. Personally, I use the mouse for turning and viewing/swimming up/down; the keyboard to move about and to kill things; and M$'s GameVoice for team commands for them lazy bots. A'ight? ;)

PS: To beat you MS-bashers to the punch: if there's one thing those guys in Redmond got right, it's the hardware. Better believe it. (Admittedly, the rest can suck bigtime, but my motto is "the right tool for the job.")
