Doesn't this show that it's not the goal of the EU to give their technologies a chance, but to keep competition alive (of whichever nation's companies)? No?The EU is grasping at straws, truly. It is more a battle of USA technologies vs EU countries' technologies, and MS is seen as USA technology. I can understand the EU wanting to give some of their technologies a chance in their own markets, but the strange thing is the open source distributions and 'alternatives' to Windows being used are predominately USA products. Whoops...
