I bought Red Hat 5 when it was first released for a customer demo. The demo was keyed to me getting a large contract to install mail servers virtualized and clustered. Problem, after creating virtual hosts I was unable to register them for updates at rhn. As the first release of RH-5 was pretty well riddled with flaws there were plenty of updates (about half the total installed packages). Working with Red Hat support and several members of their upper management I was able to get the issue resolved in just over 90 days. Lost the contract, thank you Red Hat. I will never buy, sell, or even remotely suggest your product again to any current or future client. And that my friends is what happens when you let your customers dangle.
