Whenever some pissant little country like Italy or France starts ordering around a tech company, the company's response should be to tell them to fuck off. Let them build a national firewall like Russia if they feel strongly about it. Italy has no authority over OpenAI given that they have no business presence in the country.
It may come as a shock to you, but in the first world we have laws to protect the citizen from corporations. In the third world, as America is, corps can dispose of citizens however they please.

Unless you buy a $1k flagship phone, you're not getting any OS updates. Meanwhile my iPhone 8 from 2017 is running the latest iOS.
My Pixel 4a is still receiving major OS updates and will for a long time. But on top of that, has never been throttled by the manufacturer to force me to buy a new one.

For anyone knowing how an electricity grid works, this is utter bullsh*t.
Let's assume all the iPhones start charging simultaneously when only 100% feel-good renewable energy is being put in the grid.
The accumulated load is likely to cause an imbalance and some other energy source has to pick up the change to keep the 50Hz (or 60Hz).
Also, you can't direct an electron; it is all a mix of renewables and not-renewables.
Besides, all the rare earth they are mining to produce new phones impacts our planet way more.

Better is subjective. You just pump it up with calories and spice because you cannot appreciate subtle flavors.
It hit me when I was having sushi in Japan. The fish quality, amazing. You know what wasnt? No avocados on a cut roll.
Are there Avocados in Japan?
Same goes with Pizza. There are cool and interesting things you wouldnt get in Italy on a pizza, that make is shittier. We improve everyones food. There is just a stigma against the country that brought the world ketchup, coke, frozen food that works, and milk chocolate.
All of this is considered junk food in the rest of the world. Anything inside the crust of a pizza would make anyone shiver in Italy. You break the crust to appreciate the acidic smell of yeast. But you won't understand because if it is not full of fat or sugar, you are not accustomed to it.
