To All. Be true to thy self. That is how you change from a SSE to manager to director in a year. I have learned management from the fire hose by taking my 5 best and 5 worst managers, then emulating the good ones and not doing what the bad ones did. Along the way here I have learned that there are just times you have to tell your peeps this is the way it is. And some times you can get their buy in. At the end of the day/week/month/year....Be true to thy self. Treat others as you would be treated, and remember statistics are like a bikini. They hid what is vital and show what is suggestive. All the rest is just noise.

Submission + - SCO loses - finally 1

Journal Journal: Remember the command line?

I have been using a computer since the late 80's. My first computer was a MS-DOS based Tandy XL-1000. That 8088, take up most of my desk, 14" monitor is not just fun to talk about. But it was the basis for all the learning I do on a computer today. This article on smallvoid.com reminded me how much command line computing I do today. Sure I use FireFox, M$ Office, then at home use all the Linux equivalents, but to get anything done
