Up to 12 cumulative months in the US(it may have to be a specific type of student visa). As far as internships, check the big high-tech companies such as Microsoft, Intel, IBM, etc. they like to hire interns and have no problems hiring international as long as your student visa qualifies you to work in the US.

- Why bother? Why do I even want to waste my time on this?
- My computer won't cooperate! How can I enable a S3 standby state which uses a fraction of the power vs. an Always on or a S1 standby state?
- Now that I have enabled a S3 Standby state, how can I get my computer to wake up without issues?
- I use my computer as an always on a file server / remote desktop / vnc machine. Can I actually take advantage of low power sleep states? I need access to my files at all times!

MS Releases New Media Player Firefox Plugin 191
SilentChris writes "Microsoft today released a new Media Player plugin for Firefox that resolves the problems users of the older version were experiencing. According to the company's Port 25 blog, it's backwards compatible with Windows Media Player 6.4. The plugin is for Windows XP and Vista only, but if you have to watch WMV video at least it's less likely to crash your browser."
