There was in fact a sequel to Startropics.
Startropics 2: Zoda's Revenge was released in 1994 on the NES. It was nearly as good as the original game.
It isn't easy being the parent of a six-year-old. However, it's a pretty small price to pay for having somebody around the house who understands computers.
