Have a friend of yours with basic electronics skill cut up a $5 usb gamepad for you. configure a mapping you like, and it run it as a userspace program under linux. If you have to work on a windows box use synergy to share the mouse and keyboard between the linux and windows box.

$500,000 Worth of Bitcoins Stolen 622

olsmeister writes "A Bitcoin user allegedly has had $500,000 worth of Bitcoins stolen from him. A hacker supposedly gained access to the user's home computer and managed to get the user's wallet.dat file, which contained the cryptographic keys that allowed him to drain the user's balance."

Submission + - US National banks that offer transaction history?

wirelessdreamer writes: I use a bank in the US that will only allow me to download transaction history in csv for the past 3 months. I have a hard time remembering to pull my transaction history down every 3 months, and would gladly jump ship to another bank if there is one that lets me download, say 3 years worth of transaction history as one of the standard services. Banks I've talked to have no clue what i'm asking usually, and i've never seen a comparison of banks based on how well they provide data to the end user, so i'm asking slashdot.

Then I can import my data into mysql and run some reports on it, which is all I'm looking for.

1. Foundations under the roads would have to be completely redone to support the extra weight, trains have large supports under the rails to support the weight of the trains, so its not just a simple cut holes put in rails, and drive.

2. The vehicles have a small surface area that contacts the ground, so they take longer to stop, if there is an accident 20 feet in front of one of these busses, the buss will likely slice straight through the cars in the accident, and throw parts of the vehicles into other lanes, let alone if one of these gets knocked loose into traffic.

Using TBP download stat's as a source that people don't want to download non mainstream artists music isn't valid. People download music from TPB because they 1. Don't have access to it in their region, or 2. don't want to pay for it, but they knew what they were looking for ahead of time.

On the other hand with Indie music there are much better sources to distribute music in a p2p setting, such as Jamendo. It's better organized for Creative Commons music searches then TBP, hosts its own tracker, and offers direct downloads for content, in case the seeder ratio is low. Artists can classify their music based on style.

TBP and self promotion have nothing to do with each other. Youtube, and Jamendo are about promotion, TPB is about distributing in mass quantities. Once your indie gets huge overnight and you can't keep up with the requests for downloads, then you put your torrent on TPB, and they'll get it out there for you, but until then, promote.
