A 150-years and while the means has changed, from gold to crypto currency, the speculation bubble hasn't. Bitcoin speculation and its fantastic rise is reminiscent of the gold bubble in the late 1860's in the United States. A "Black Friday" from gold speculation and manipulation:

Yet a reminder of human nature, the "how" changes but not the "what" or "why" in history.
Still, for fun back in 2019 I virtually bought $200 worth of bitcoin, or at the time 0.029% of a bitcoin. Now it'd be worth on paper $719.09.
I remember doing deliberate nose dives, or other things just to see how the game would respond. "Auger" hmm, don't recall that. I just remember the picture of Chuck and his sarcastic comments.
