Comment Gold? Rare Earths? (Score 1) 117

Since sea water contains gold, and other metals, including rare earths, perhaps this is a first step in extracting them from seawater. The desalting of the water, leaves heavily saturated water on the other side. This also concentrates other disolved metals and minerals, making them easier to extract. Perhaps additional membranes of increasing size openings, could be used to capture larger metal molecules. Also, a mercury bed would capture gold, and silver through amalgumation.

Comment PG&E is avoiding more fire liability (Score 1) 260

Lets face it PG&E does not want any more billion dollar fires to pay for. Whenever there is a chance of a wind storm blowing down a tree on to their lines, or detaching the lines from the poles, they turn off the power. A few thousand dollars in lost electricity charges is chump change compared to a billion dollar fire.

Comment Not a Vaccine, just a "SHOT" (Score 2) 203

Have you had your flu vaccine? No such thing.... it is called a "flu shot" and not a "flu vaccine" for a reason, it is just a solution of preservatives, squaline( an immune system booster), and chunks of virus. This "vaccine" will be nothing more than that. The number of successful virus vaccines is very small.... only rabies and smallpox, and the small pox vaccine is actually an infection of cowpox, which gives you immunity to smallpox. They have been working on a vaccine for TB, HIV, Herpes, GBS, and other virus' for decades. Nada. SO dont get your hopes up. BTW, the chinese have had 15 years to study the long term effects of this virus in the body. It will remain in the body and reappear in future years just like Herpes, chickenpox (shngles), and malaria. It is highly likely that this virus will have similar behavior with a surprise payload in the future for all infected/cured patients. The CHinese know very well the progress of this virus, thats why they were welding doors shut on the homes, and barricading others. Likely the US gov't knows as well, but dont want to cause even more of a panic.

Would you ever get on a cruise ship that had served as a COV-19 hospital? There are too many places and surfaces that a virus could live on, and for a long time. A surface such as the shower, bath tub, bathroom sink plumbing "P" trap, could provide a warm and wet environment for a long period of time, allowing the virus to remain viable. There is also the ventilation duct, and the carpeting, both of which are known to harbor bacteria and virus for long periods of time.

It is well known within China that the lab techs were selling the animals to the wet market that were slated to be euthanized. This has been admitted to on WeChat within China. Cannot blame the techs for wanting to make a few extra yuan, but I can blame the controls at the lab for letting any test animal to eave the building.
