Delayed effect. The company will do well without top senior talent, it may take long until things get messy. Meanwhile other mid-level engineers become more experienced and the CEO will tell shareholders how he managed to achieve the same with less expense. As there is no baseline to compare to (can't look into the parallel universe where the CEO go sacked instead), it all boils down to how well the CEO can convince shareholders it was the right decision.
Has anyone who ever used ChatGPT return to the state of 'never used it before'? If not, then by definition this number must be "ticking up", regardless of they found it useful.
The satellite network Starlink is building is on LEO, that is around 300km above us. So I presume the signal must be clear enough at least at distance of 400-500 km. Not sure about the power transmission requirements but it certainly will be very low data rate. I don't think it will work in the presence of obstacles or indoor though.
This is to stop low-tech actors from using a commercial service (that can decide to implement this feature) to flood the Internet with AI generated fakes. Training your own model that does not watermark is expensive and requires some skill
Demand for housing is already there, just no one is willing or can afford to pay more. With UBI suddenly everyone has 2000 more at their disposal. But you are right that this won't affect only rental prices but will rather spread out on everything.
Some other source reported they measured 10s of neutrons coming from the chamber thus proving nuclear fusion, they "just" have to scale to 10^28 or sth. And yes, you can build a nuclear fusion device in your garage: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wik...
I am actually surprised the number is not higher. This was the main reason why I quit my last job at one of the big tech companies - I wanted to work in a specific domain and I got rejected by multiple teams saying "your performance evaluations are awesome but you have little experience". So I found a different organization that offered me the role I was interested in. In general, I think when an employee starts looking for internal transfer opportunities it's a sign he does not envision a future in his current role.
The model is doing exactly what is was trained to do - suggests the most likely face to be cropped from the image based on the demographics of Twitter. This is maximizing its utility as fewer users need to manually correct the choice made by the algorithm. Why is no one outraged that old fat and ugly users don't tend to make their selfie public? By "correcting" it to someones subjective perception of "fairness" it will just perform worse.
