Likewise, I spent 2 weeks overseas with the MD of a gold mining company. Among many other tales, he asserted that it would be simple to replace up to 2/3 of a laptop battery with enough explosive to bring down a plane, and still have plenty of power left to operationally boot the laptop to Windows login if required...

He also said that the scanners frequently pick up residue on his shoes from chemicals used on the mine site (eg arsenic, not to mention explosives), so someone could easily use that as an alibi.

And on a related note, how configurable is it?

I hold my mouse left-handed, but I leave the buttons set for right-hand (hence right-click is with my index, and left-click with middle or even ring)...

RFID, Sign of the (End) Times? 843

andy753421 writes "Wired is running an article featuring Katherine Albrecht who, with her new book 'The Spychips Threat: Why Christians Should Resist RFID and Electronic Surveillance', is warning that RFID tags may in fact be the "mark of the beast". Among her arguments are that in a futuristic world anyone who wishes to buy and sell goods would be compelled "to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads," as is foretold in the book Revelation. Others are skeptical saying that many new technologies, such as the printing press, bar-codes, and several others, have also created fears about the beginning of the end."

In the context, God is demonstrating His power to Job through the creatures He made. The Leviathan is described in chapter 41 as a creature with airtight "shields" on his back that cannot be pierced by sword or spear. God says of him in v.33, "On earth there is not his like, a creature without fear." Assuming that dinosaurs were present, it makes more sense that God would use a large dinosaur along with Leviathan to display his power, rather than Leviathan with a hippo, or even an elephant.
