Comment Re:If you absolutely MUST have Daylight Saving Tim (Score 1) 231

That doesn't happen NOW on those weekends -- the bars in my midwest state get to stay open until what would have been their normal closing time on "spring forward" Saturday night, and get to stay open an EXTRA hour when the clocks return to Daylight Standard Time on "fall back" night -- nor would it be any different over a three-day holiday weekend.

Limit it to summer only. "Spring forward" the Sunday before Memorial Day and "fall back" on the one before Labor Day. You still get the "extra" hour during the summer vacation months, but kids aren't going to school in the dark the rest of the year. And doing the changeover on those holiday weekends has the extra virtue of giving the body an extra day -- the holiday Monday -- to adjust, mitigating somewhat the health and accident-related hazards associated with changing the clocks.

Says you.

I have no children by choice, partly because I don't want the burden or expense of raising them. The education of your children are YOUR responsibility. The "goods" you consume, whether "public" or otherwise, must be paid for by YOU, or you're a thief.

To take my property against my will for any purpose, whether it benefits me or not, even if it's been approved by every voter in the nation, is theft.
