I use hp tx 2500z, although i had to throw off their crappy softwares and install my own. It can do most of them, but its just that a little heavy for tablet. It all cost $750. (3gb, 250gb, amd turionx2, fingerprint, webcam, mic, 8cell btry, IR remote, card reader).

I inherited 30k lines of code when I started work "wet behind the ears". It was actionscript code (so no typing), spaghetti at its best. Probably not the best code to look at as a beginner. I also had inherited another 20k of clean java code, probably that was the only thing I felt very happy about. I agree to AC. 30 to 40k is no big deal. As a fresh programmer, i had inherited 50kloc.

linj, I have the exact use as you do. I use Onenote and I can always go back and play the audio of the particular part of lecture I dint understand. Since I back it up to my university private space, I have no issues of backup. Btw, I use hp tx2500z.
