You are too right. I had never thought of it like that before. I'm going to start doing that myself. Sometimes it seems like the woods is the only place we have left.
I've never been canoeing before, but I imagine there must be just a few simple heuristics you have to remember... Yes, don't fall out, and don't hit rocks.
