In Ships, you take control of a selection of ships and drive them around the world (if you have that much time). Building games around Google Earth is now viable, thanks to its ever-increasing level of detail. From a technical standpoint, the Google Earth browser plugin has proven to be quite a capable platform to work with. Further tech details about the application are available as well."

I do find it interesting that many private schools have an annual tuition that's less than the average amount we are paying per student for public schools and manage to turn out higher test scores and better educated/adjusted students.

Private schools produce better students? I'm not so sure about that. Can you find someone who has refuted the study referenced by either of these articles? They may refer to the same study, I can't tell.

I haven't done sufficient research to say for sure that private schools are not better, but I'm happy to send my children to public school when the time comes (my oldest is 2, so it's not all that far away).

Don't equate taxes with sevice. You apparently don't like taxes. Great. It's a weak straw-man argument here. Bring it up when it's appropriate.

Mr. Obama wants my service even though I'm in college 1/2 time, work full time (paying taxes) and a community activist (various websites, church activities) and yet I'm still "called on" to SERVE by the government!

This is ridiculous. IF you want to fit 100 hours of community service into your schedule, you might get government money (or, as I suspect you like to call it, 'blood money'). I'm not seeing where hours contributed at a church or 'non-government affiliated group' is mentioned at the link you've provided. I suspect it's your paranoia leading you on.

How are you measuring the number of banks? I don't have numbers on the number of bankers (though I suspect that automation has cut down the banker/population ratio significantly), but according to two sources found easily via Google, there were 31,000 banks in the US 1921 and only about 7,200 now. http://bss.sfsu.edu/tygiel/hist427/texts/1920seconomy.htm and http://www.outlookindia.com/pti_news.asp?id=636977
