Unfortunately, most of us are not wise enough to wait until we are independently wealthy to marry and have children. Some were even foolish start those projects before the notion that all workers are temp workers took solid hold.
Waiting for independent wealth would be a really good form of birth control. If we insist that the fertile women make it on their own, no marrying the ceo allowed, there shouldn't be many children running around at all. Of course, a few young women and men in their twenties and thirties will inherit enough income producing property early enough, but most will never make it at all.
