HTC Launches HD Phones and Updated Sense UI 165

cgriffin21 writes "HTC on Wednesday confirmed two new Android smartphones, the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z, that include what the vendor is calling an "enhanced version" of its HTC Sense user interface that includes everything from video editing software to a mapping tool. The HTC Sense's new features include the ability to record HD videos and edit images with various camera effects. HTC Locations, another new feature, provides on-demand mapping, and there's also an integrated e-reader and an e-book store powered by Kobo."

Because the development kit of the imitation is free. I can upload my own applications without the need to jailbroken it beforehand.

For only $99/year you can do the same with an iPad. And for that price you get a ton of development resources, including video from every WWDC (Apple developer conference) from last year, along with supported early access to new builds.

For someone already buying something that's going to be an extra device in addition to a computer, I just can't see getting too worked up over a $99/year fee to develop.

And .... + an iMac or MacBook?

Yup, this is the point. Apple side is talking about how Google declared war with Apple. But why Apple wanted to buy AdMob at the beginning? They are planning for these steps all along: build a popular platform, create a strong app marketplace, and then selling ads. The last move is a direct competition with Google. So, who really started the war first? The whole Android thing is what Google has to do to protect its business. If Google does not make Android, or acquire AdMob, Apple still does the same thing.
