Journal tuxette's Journal: no training for tuxette today... 9

...or yesterday, or tomorrow...

I have some injuries that need to heal. They won't get healed if I don't rest. I hate taking unscheduled breaks. Grrmf...

What makes all of this suck even more, is that I've gained a few kilos due to all the stress and depression I've had to deal with the past few weeks. Not being able to go to the gym and get rid of these extra kilos, plus the kilos I need to lose, really sucks :-/

  • I know how you feel, I have similar problems occasionally, actually pretty much most of this year was that way.

    In essence: Don't worry about it, drink less wine and you'll be fine ;)

      • the caramels. Definitely the best. Oh, on tv? i dunno. i kinda like the discovery channel. how about a movie? We'll rent movies until we're better. (i came down with the sniffles this morning because my coworkers use my phone and their kids give them cooties to bring to work. None of them believe in disinfecting things after using them ICK!)

        At least i know the fever was a fleeting part of the experience...

          Movie sounds good. And kids? They make great roasts. The heat kills the cooties :-)

          • i was out to lunch with someone (my conservative-mum, not my gypsy-mum) once and they asked how i felt about children. I told her that "Every time i find myself just beside myself with the desire to have a child, i go for the salad instead, because there are fewer calories, no matter how you cook the kid."

            She just sat there for a minute, and then finally laughed.

            I didn't laugh.

            The subject of children hasn't come up since.

    Don't worry. Having a break only makes the training feel much better later on when you're fully recovered.

    As you might remember, I recently had a two weeks break from the gym and it was only this Tuesday that I got back on the program. I did a full body gym workout (just to wake my body up) that was light on legs and I don't know if I've had a better workout than that - ever. Today the legs felt good as well. The problem with my rotator cuff also seems t

      That's true. I'm just going stir-crazy though. Not fun ;-)

      As for creatine, I'm not using creatine now, but I have used it before. I didn't gain that much weight on it; 3 kg max. And it went away in a week when I was done with the cycle. I guess I'm stuck eating less for a while :-)

    injured my ankle two days ago and so i have to take a break until at least monday i reckon...sucks but just means I'll be that much more into it when I can start up again...but I want to go now! :)
